Outwood Grange Academies Trust are based in Outwood Grange Academies Trust  Potovens Lane, Outwood, Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Acorn Young People’s Theatre are based in Penrose Farm. They have 1 groups taking part in season 3 of Positive Stories for Negative Times and are excited to be involved because The oppotunity to look beyond Cornwall and to work with a larger organisation, and the chance to work with a new script.  Our young people often don’t see anything beyond their local environment but it feels that with the Celtic origins of Kernow this collaboration seems perfect.. Thunk-It Theatre Cic are based in 13 Holly Close. They have 1 groups taking part in season 3 of Positive Stories for Negative Times and are excited to be involved because We are incredibly excited to be taking part in this fantastic project, for the THIRD time! This time we are working with teenagers in the East Riding, and creating the production in just ONE WEEK! A completely new challenge and we cannot wait!. Borealis Theatre Arts – Nairn Youth Theatre are based in Nairn. They have 1 group taking part in Season 3 of Positive Stories for Negative Times and are excited to be involved because this is a great opportunity for a relatively new group.  The group mainly create their own plays, so working on this project introduces new skills to them and they are very excited at the thought of performing at their regional theatre, Eden Court!

They will be working towards creating a Full stage production of Are You A Robot?. More about Nairn Youth Theatre started in the summer of 2021, as a result of a Youth Arts Fund residency with Fèis Rois, aiming to connect with young people across the region who were most impacted by Lockdown. The group has since gone from strength to strength, with weekly drama classes, theatre performances and devising work as part of local festivals. We have a fantastic group of young people, who are always inspiring!

Drama Llama Youth Theatre are based in Ayr. They have 4 groups taking part in Season 3 of Positive Stories for Negative Times and are excited to be involved because we want to give our young people the opportunity to work on a bigger project that will pull all the elements of  performance and production together. We’ve become aware that the pandemic has impacted the mental health of the young people we work with, and that many are reflecting the stress they see in their parents around the financial crisis and world events. 

We think that the opportunity to explore and resolve the dichotomy between the perfect and the imperfect will help them find a place of equilibrium and develop resilience and optimism.. They will be working towards creating a Full stage production of Are You A Robot?.

What Happens Now? are based in Glasgow. They have 1 group taking part in Season 3 of Positive Stories for Negative Times and are excited to be involved because we’ve been running classes outdoors since Covid times. It’s been really exciting for us and it felt like a big new adventure to ‘think outside the box’ at a time when we were all quite lost. The coming together to play, to create, to explore was more than enough.

We’ve been thinking of a way to shake up our older class. It’s time to challenge them in a new and exciting way. We are ready for a new adventure. This could be the perfect opportunity for us, what an exciting project to be a part of!. They will be working towards creating a Outdoor work of Are You A Robot?. We aim to encourage children and young people to ask questions and learn about themselves and the world around them through drama, stories and play. We run outdoor weekly term time classes for kids ages 3-12.

Royal Lyceum Theatre (LYT) are based in Edinburgh. They have 2 groups taking part in season 3 of Positive Stories for Negative Times and are excited to be involved because our younger groups have not had a project in a few years, most plays written are for older (14+) and Positive Stories for Negative Times seems to cater for a wider range of young people. We are really passionate about working with new writing and introducing young people to new writers. Tim Crouch brought a show to the Lyceum this year and as a creative learning team we are interested in the work he creates for community groups and young people. We have an exciting idea that we can maybe gave 2 groups performing the same play. Both our 8-10 groups are very mature and used to making theatre so we want to challenge them with something.. Wester Hailes High School are based in 5 Murrayburn Dr, Edinburgh.
