Revolting: A How To Guide with Bryony Kimmings

Date: Tuesday 12 October

Time: 10:30am – 1:00pm

Length: 2.5 hours

Location: Zoom

Bryony Kimmings is the queen of autobiographical theatre making. Her shows about her personal life, family history and world changing exploits have toured all over the globe from The National Theatre on the London Southbank to Sydney Opera House. She has tackled some of the hardest subjects: alcoholism, pop culture and feminism, child poverty, depression and cancer. Her work is funny, honest, connecting and above all activist. It tries to build a world we want to see. It is with this exploit that she agreed to write a work for young people and Wonder Fools. An instruction manual for creating a piece about those who are in it … and how they feel about their power in the world. This session is guidance, support and tools to help you keep the group positive, creative and safe whilst creating an excellent, honest and revolutionary piece of work. Bryony’s methods are transparent, open and very much accessible.
