Samuel Laycock School – 9W

Samuel Laycock School are based in Ashton-under-Lyne. They have 5 groups taking part in Season 3 of Positive Stories for Negative Times and are excited to be involved because we used the Raven last year in Year 9 drama but were too late to submit the film clips due to a technical issue so are looking forward to joining in properly (and virtually hopefully) this year. 

They will be working towards creating a Full stage production of The Day the Stampers United. 

We are an SEN secondary school.

All students have an EHCP for Moderate Learning Difficulty and/or ASC.

We have a specialist ASC base in school. One class will come from our ASC Base.

Inveralmond Community High School are based Livingston. They have 2 groups taking part in Season 3 of Positive Stories for Negative Times and are excited to be involved because the chance to channel who they are, their creative flair and their understanding of the world through which every artistic expression the process leads them is exactly why our young people have volunteered for this exciting project. 

Our young people have been committed to our subject throughout recent challenging times, they are persevered through a variety of restrictions and rules to snatch what ever Drama experience they could get, and now its time to celebrate how far they have come through this opportunity. They will be working towards creating a Full stage production of Ms Campbell’s Class Fourth Period.

Beauchamps High School

Beauchamps High School are based in Essex. They have 1 group taking part in Season 3 of Positive Stories for Negative Times and are excited to be involved because it would be a fantastic opportunity for our students to work with texts that are current and accessible.

It would allow our students to collaborate to create performances that would engage and excite them. The students will love to create work that is new and contemporary and will delighted to receive scripts from established playwrights. This would allow our students to really develop their practical skills and understanding of theatre.

They will be working towards creating a Recorded extracts of Thanks for Nothing.

We are state school comprehensive school based in Essex. We currently run a successful GCSE and A Level programme and offer students the opportunities to explore historical and contemporary practitioners and play texts. We have built a very established department and are always looking at opportunities for our students to take part in external workshops and programmes to expand their cultural capital.
